Window Treatments

The most obvious challenge of this window treatment are the arched beams above the window with only a small amount of space between the trim and the beam. The client wanted to create a more contemporary look with the design but still maintaining the rustic style of the house. The combination of the arched beam and the small amount of wall above the window called for a cornice that would follow the arch exactly. The custom cornice and the panels were constructed using a beautiful stone colored silk fabric. The finished width of the treatment is wider than the previous panels which also opens up the window. Finishing the arched window with a faux iron design fills the visual void without taking away the view relating a magnificent focal point of this once dark, dull room.
